Research Interests

My research focuses on studying multisensory integration using the McGurk effect, developing training paradigms for different cognitive abilities and establishing transfer of training. I am interested in learning about various neuroimaging techniques and using them as a tool to measure changes in brain activation levels after training.

  • Master’s thesis involved investigation of how best to classify people based on their perception of the McGurk effect.
  • Second year project centered on developing a training paradigm in audiovisual integration. I am interested in studying changes in activation levels in the Superior temporal sulcus before and after training using fMRI.
  • First year project involved developing a working memory training paradigm and collecting neuroimaging data before and after training.
  • Worked on developing a Theory of Mind based affective training program for high functioning children with Autism.
